Finished with a Silver rubber sole and calfskin lining. The 531 in Detroit offers a 360º construction or goodyear welt for enhanced water protection and durability.
This shoe, like all Carmina shoes, is carefully handcrafted by expert artisans using the same techniques that Charles Goodyear devised in 1869.
For style, we have chosen the Detroit Last. The Detroit Last provides a comfortable fit, with a wide toe box and heel. It is one of the first lasts from the house, classic with a relaxed and timeless style.
More inspiration #Carmina
Lasts are one of Carmina Shoemaker’s milestones. It is precisely in the creative process of the last where the mastery and technique of the shoemaker are combined with an exhaustive study of ergonomics and beauty to create an elegant and comfortable shoe. It is therefore the perfect communion of these elements what constitutes the starting point and the aim of any shoemaker. Therefore, the last becomes one of the shoemaker’s most distinctive elements.
